Guidelines For Applicants
OUR MISSION
To provide assistance to district nurses who are in need, hardship or distress.
District nurses means any nurse who is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and nurses who are or have been employed as one of the following:
• District Nurse
• Community Nurse
• School Nurse
• Health Visitor
• Community Midwife
• Community Psychiatric Nurse
BENEFICIARIES
Beneficiaries may be working, unemployed or retired and are often experiencing financial difficulties or health problems. Applicants need to produce evidence of their employment as registered nurses in the community. The Fund provides grants for help with living expenses and can help with the purchase of specialist equipment or household goods.
INELIGIBLE
Grants cannot be awarded to assist with:
Care home fees
Private healthcare
Payment of debt
Payment of rent or council tax
